My name is Joseph Thomas Jr. and I’m an entrepreneur based in Upstate New York. As the co-founder of Volcarus Ventures LLC, I explore any business venture that can generate wealth for my family—real estate, notary services, bakery projects, print production…if it creates value, I’m interested.

This website is actually a revised version of an earlier build. When I released my first book I had to figure out how to create a clean, professional online home for it. The book itself started as a simple idea and a pile of notes. I used Amazon KDP to self-publish, which meant learning formatting, cover design, ISBNs, pricing models, and royalty structures. After a lot of late nights I finally hit “Publish” and watched it go live on Amazon for $3.99—a surreal moment that proved you can ship something big if you just keep moving.

With the book out, I wanted a web presence that matched the energy of the brand I’m building. Setting up this new WordPress site became another crash course: registering the domain, configuring hosting, experimenting with themes, editing CSS for the hero image, and wiring in links for the book and future blog posts. Every tweak taught me something about design, layout, and how to make a site feel alive.

That’s what this blog—Volcarus Weekly—is all about. Each Tuesday I’ll share notes and observations on finance, business, and real estate: the same curiosities that drive me forward. My goal isn’t to give financial advice, but to show how a little curiosity can open doors to opportunities hiding in plain sight. Sometimes the next thing you love is only one article, experiment, or idea away.
